Music Literacy

In musical literacy classes, the ability to understand the basics of music – rhythm, tempo, melody, and relationships between sounds – is developed. Participants learn to recognize musical structures, develop hearing, and the ability to accurately convey rhythm and melody. During classes, the basics of notes, rhythmic exercises, ear training, and simple music theory concepts are introduced. Learning takes place practically – through listening, singing, rhythm exercises, and creative tasks. Classes help to better understand music, learn to play or sing more easily, and develop musical thinking, creativity, and self-confidence in musical activities.
